Grading Day Event
As we come towards the end of each term, gradings are approaching! Our favourite time as instructors as we see students being recognised for their hard work and progress!
This term we have improved our grading process to make it easier and clearer for students. Rather than you having to register, we will notify you via email directly regarding your eligibility. This is based off individual progress assessed by your instructor(s), your attendance, duration of training on your current rank, age requirements and understanding of your grading requirements. Although gradings are hosted every term, students should not expect to grade each term.
If you have any questions about grading we encourage you to ask questions!
Here’s how it works:
All students nominated for grading will receive an email with their grading date and approval details. This notification will specify whether the grading will take place during their regular class time or at the grading day event.
Students who are not nominated for grading should still attend their classes as usual to participate in a practice grading (in class children’s karate). We aim to ensure that students who are not yet ready are informed in advance to avoid any disappointment. While this is our first time implementing this process, we are committed to doing our best to notify everyone who is not approved accurately.
For those scheduled on the grading day event, payment must be made via the link provided in the nomination email. Please ensure the payment is completed by the scheduled date, no late payment will be accepted. Alternative arrangement will then need to be made to grade that term. ie Private gradings or school holiday program with a possibly additional charge.
