Term 1 Karate Tournament – Saturday 1st March

Term 2 Kickboxing/Boxing/MMA Fight Night – Friday 23rd May

Term 3 Karate Tournament – Saturday 13th September

Term 4 Kickboxing/Boxing/MMA Fight Night – Friday 7th November

All Styles Tournament / Fight Night Circuit (Karate, Kickboxing, Boxing, MMA)

• Regional All Styles Interclub  Tournaments/ Fight Nights – Every Term (2 x Karate Tournament year Term 2 & 4/ 2 x Fight Night year Term 1 & 3).
• Victorian All Styles State Championship (Tournament/ Fight Night)- Term 4 every 2 years.
• Australian All Styles National Championship (Tournament/ Fight Night) – Term 4 every Third years

Venue: All Stars Dojo – McKinnon Sec College – East Campus, 14 South Drive , Virginia Park Estate, East Bentleigh, Vic 3165.

All fights are light contact and the following rules apply:

Tournament/Fight Night Rules

Karate Tournament Rules
Karate  
-3×1 minute rounds to advance to the next stage
-All safety equipment is to be worn: hand protectors/boxing gloves, shin guards, mouth guard, groin guard
-No knees or kicks to groin, back or knee joints
-Knees optional
-All competitors to wear gi when sparring
-The referee’s / judges decision is final

Fight Night Rules
Kickboxing / Muay Thai
-3×2 minute rounds (children 1 min): 1 minute rest
-All safety equipment is to be worn: 16 oz gloves, mouthguard, headgear, shin pads, groin guard for men
-No kicks to groin, back or knee joints
-Knees optional
-Grappling only allowed for 10 seconds
-All competitors to wear kickboxing shorts, ankle supports, hand wraps, grade singlet when fighting
-The referee’s / judges decision is final

Boxing
-3×2 minute rounds (children 1 min): 1 minute rest
-All safety equipment is to be worn: 16 oz gloves, mouthguard, headgear, groin guard for men
-No punches to the back of the head
-No back fists/elbows
-No punches below waist
-All competitors to wear boxing shoes (optional), kickboxing/ boxing shorts, hand wraps, grade singlet/shirt when fighting
-The referee’s / judges decision is final

Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) (Submission Grappling)
-3×2 minute rounds (children 1 min): 1 minute rest
-All safety equipment is to be worn: 4 oz MMA gloves, mouthguard, groin guard for men,
-No kicks
-No head strikes
-Punches to body allowed
-No leg submissions
-All competitors to wear MMA shorts, rashies (short or long sleeve) when fighting
-The referee’s / judges decision is final
